About Me

Madry is a life-long educator, strategist, advocate, author, consultant, speaker, and life coach. As a veteran educator (turn-around principal), he has worked on all levels of education in Houston, Texas, migrating to Kansas City, Missouri, to lead the turnaround of what was deemed the worst school in the state of Missouri (Central High School-KCMO).

He attended Texas Southern University, receiving a dual degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications and Communication with a minor in Music.  He attended Prairie View A & M University, receiving a Master of Education Administration degree. All coursework has been completed for a doctorate in Professional Studies (PhD) at Franklin University, with only the defending of the dissertation and comprehensive examination remaining to complete the doctoral process.

Professionally, he has spent most of his 20-plus-year career focusing on at-risk students in secondary education.

Through his journey and experiences with corporate, education, and the non-profit world, Madry developed a skillset to address problems. Specifically, logistical issues for businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, and individuals. He has provided those services in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Montana.

Background in Education

Madry started his career educating youth as a long-term substitute teacher, working his way through the different disciplines, including band, and finally finding his niche in special education, where he truly began understanding each child’s challenge to learn and achieve.

Working with students with special needs came naturally to him. He learned from his experiences with an uncle he grew up with who probably would have been diagnosed with intellectual developmental disorder by today’s definitions and standards. He also used his experience from being a member of a handicapped Boy Scout Troop, where many of the members had handicaps such as muscular dystrophy, scoliosis, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and a Scout Master who was blind. These experiences developed his affection for people with special needs or disabilities, which didn’t end there… His senior project in college was a public service announcement addressing the needs of the blind at Texas Southern University and how to serve them better.

Having worked in an alternative educational placement setting with 100% of the population being categorized as special education and 75% of those students being on probation or parole. He developed an understanding of the needs of this population and how to address the individual students’ needs.  This is an approach that has proven to be beneficial.  Madry prides himself on being an expert in the areas of Crisis Intervention (CIT), Response to Intervention (RTI), and the Individual Education Profile (IEP) being addressed campus-wide.

Going into the 2016 school year, Central was the worst high school in the Kansas City area and considered the worst in the state of Missouri.  In June 2016, he took leadership of the Central Academy of Excellence.  From the moment he took over to his exit in 2022, Central High School and the Central Community have grown by leaps and bounds. This growth can be measured by a growing student population with successful athletic teams, a growing graduation rate, and the addition of extra-curricular activities such as band, choir, dance, and cheer.

Conversely, as a life-long educator, he will continue to work with fellow educators to develop the faculty/staff, communities, and stakeholders to push for higher academic achievement and connectivity to the community to produce academically sound students and strong civic-minded citizens.

 Strategy, Consulting, and Life Coaching

After leaving the Principalship, Madry continued his quest to build others by using his experiences and education to develop individuals and organizations through exploration, evaluation, and enhancement. Madry has designed an exponential formula of E3 for human and organizational development. His attention is currently focused on his mentee's personal and professional growth. He is using his experience with strategy to address multiple political figures to address their quest for office (Governor, District Attorney, State Assembly, Constable, City Council, and School Board).

The goal is to develop individuals and organizations to be their best!

“Each child is given a package… It is up to us when he or she opens it”
